14:00 - 14:45: The Nordic Walking Bloodbank Project

Description: In sparsely populated areas, there may be long travel times to the nearest hospital. Weather can also present challenges in getting patients quickly to the necessary treatment. In some cases, patients will be dependent on blood transfusions to stay alive until the nearest treatment facility can be reached. This can be addressed through a walking blood bank program in local communities.
