The SAMINOR Study – An Innovative Approach to Enhancing Knowledge in Health and Living Conditions in the Multiethnic North
Description: The SAMINOR Study is a longitudinal health study conducted in the multiethnic regions of northern and central Norway, addressing the limited knowledge of Sami health and living conditions. It was initiated in 2003 by the Center for Sami Health Research at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. The methodological design was revised in SAMINOR 3 in 2019, to increasingly incorporate participatory research, engaging community stakeholders in the research process, particularly in identifying problems and developing new research questions. Information about population composition, living conditions, and the health situation in various groups is crucial for society's contribution to public safety.
