Are there any fees?
The fee to participate in the programming part is 1250 SEK/person (free of charge for students). The price includes VAT, food and snacks all weekend and hotel accommodation (limited number, first come, first served).

It's free of charge to participate in the competition for best business idea. However, you do not participate the whole weekend but pitch your idea at 4 pm on Wednesday 8 May. If you want to attend the dinner on May 8, it costs SEK 340.

Can I participate in both competitions?

Absolutely! Maybe you are part of a team in the programming competition but have a brilliant business idea. Come in and pitch and see where it goes!

Where is the Hackathon happening, exactly?
At Boden Business Park in Boden, Sweden 

How do I get there?
If you’re traveling by plane, the closest airport is Luleå Airport. We arrange carpooling from the airport when we know how many it will be and what time everyone is arriving. More info about this later.

Do I have to have any prior knowledge to participate?
Yes, since we’re searching for the futures blockchain solutions, you need to know the technology well enough to challenge the jury.

Can I participate with an existing team?
Absolutely, the more the merrier. The only rule is that you can not be more than 5 members in your team.

Can I participate alone?
Absolutley. The power of one should never be underestimated.

Do I need an idea/project to come?
No. But if you’re participating in the business idea challenge, it would probably be better if you already have thought of an idea that you would like to challenge the jury with.

What are the topics?
The business idea challenge could be anything, as long as it is developing the blockchain technology. The coding challenges will be announced first when the challenges starts.

Which programming language?
You decide! The little we can reveal now is that the challenge will include interaction with the Hyperledger block chain and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of Restful API, Javascript and NodeJS.

What are the judging criterias?
We’ll explain them to you during the event.

What should I bring?
Your laptop and innovative mind.

What other services will be available?
High speed Internet (Wifi), drinks and snacks throughout the whole weekend.
